The US pretending to bring democracy to other countries is so funny when we vote on a non-holiday workday where people can wait up to six hours for a machine that may record their vote incorrectly to defeat a minority party that controls all three branches of government.
Eddie Brock was an unemployed white guy who just got broken up with living in a crappy apartment due to the power of an evil guy mostly out of his control…and yet I never got that weird itchy feeling about him because instead of turning his misfortune into resentment against the world, he just put his head down and went about his business, maintaining friendly bantery friendships with random women across the city, respecting his ex’s wishes, and that’s why I loved and trusted him, because I knew even before any Superhero Decisions came up that he was a good guy
okay but the screenwriter for Thor: Ragnarok is obviously intimately aware of what it’s like to have siblings because like…the snake scene? Bickering at every opportunity? Throwing things at each other for no real reason? “You know this guy?” “I have no idea who this person is”? Smirking when your sibling does something cool because ‘nothing but respect for MY sibling’ and then turning around and punching each other in the face right afterward? Stabbing each other for fun and then going ‘oh come on you big baby, that didn’t even hurt’? The fucking ‘Get Help’ scene? Like bruh…that is some Truth in Hollywood right there

but also the concealed worry about your sibling getting actually hurt, even though you know they’ll probably be fine
